3D Printing Technology Sets the Stage for Creation and Innovation at Stage One

Award winners in innovation, Stage One manufacture bespoke assemblies for the creative industries, some of their work has involved design and production for large scale events such as the London 2012 Olympics where they produced the cauldron used at the opening ceremony.

Although their vast North Yorkshire site contains many workshops specialising in different areas, 3D printing was not introduced until recently. When Stage One realised that implementing a 3D printing system would maximise their design and production capabilities they came to the expert leaders at SYS Systems. Once they had determined that FDM-based 3D printing technology was suited to their requirements, Stage One then chose two Stratasys Fortus machines and were then able to open the door to creation and innovation like never before, realising new opportunities and changing the way they design and manufacture.
